Economic Law (prawo gospodarcze) is the set of laws and regulations referring to all problems of business and relations among particular economic operators. These acts define, among others, the range of government intervention into the field of economy, relations between economic operators and the state, but also relations among operators themselves.
Public economic law and private economic law create the field of economic law (prawo gospodarcze). Public economic law regulates all principles referring to influence and functions of the state and the European Union in the field of economy. It also determines issues if direct or indirect economic activity of the state and local authorities. Public economic law regulates the rules of undertaking business activity, supervision of the state over companies and competition and consumer protection
Private economic law
Private economic law, similarly to commercial law, defines all laws and regulations of commercial exchange, but it is extended by other fields of economic activity, like securities. Economic operation is defined as rendering services in a professional and permanent way in order to obtain income.
Economic law also defines code of commercial companies (prawo spółek handlowych), which describes types of companies, their performance and describes the appropriate register procedures. It also contains all regulations concerning all commercial activities, law and regulations of trade agreements, transport law, insurance law and securities law.
